Scotland is now open to travellers from the US & EU

Thanks to the UK’s exceptionally high vaccination rate, fully vaccinated visitors from the US and EU will no longer have to quarantine on arrival in Scotland. This means that, after a few false starts, Scotland is now open to travellers from the US & EU who are looking for a truly memorable, hunting, fishing or golfing vacation!

Scotland is a very COVID-safe place to visit, especially for country sports which by definition take place in the great outdoors. What could be more relaxing and COVID-safe than standing in the middle of the River Tweed surrounded by nothing but water and wild Atlantic salmon, or crossing vast open hillsides in search of red deer stags?

With only 6 million permanent residents, Scotland is actually very sparsely populated. So if you are looking to avoid the crowds this summer, Scotland is the place to be!

Each country will have it’s own rules regarding re-entry from the UK, so we advise clients to check their own country’s rules before they travel. For official Scottish Government advice please visit this page

Scotland is open and there’s still time to book!

Although demand is extremely high this year, we still have some remaining availability for:

Stag stalking dates are now limited to 1 or 2 days here and there, so hunters looking to enjoy this iconic experience will need to be flexible in their dates.

The grouse count this year has not been good unfortunately, however we do have 1 or 2 small walked up days to offer.

For pheasant and partridge we have lots of availability left, but mainly during the week as the weekend are now virtually fully booked.

Fishing and golf have fairly open availability. There are a few dates that are sold out and the high season on the River Tweed is as sought after as ever, so now is the time to get in touch if you are thinking of a trip in 2021.

At River & Green we are thrilled that Scotland is once again open to travellers from the US & EU, and we can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful country.
