Entry rules for Scotland relaxed from 07/01/22!

The Scottish government have finally relaxed the entry rules for Scotland for fully vaccinated travellers (or those under the age of 18).

Not only have they removed the need to take a PCR test before travelling, they have also scrapped the requirement to take a “day 2” PCR test.

The only entry rules for Scotland now are:

1) Proof of vaccination
2) Complete a passenger locator form
2) Take a lateral flow test on day 2 of your stay

Due to pent up demand for travel, we are anticipating huge demand for hunting, fishing and golf trips to Scotland.

We would advise customers thinking of travelling to Scotland this year to get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Throughout the pandemic governments across the world have been prone to knee-jerk reactions to the emergence of COVD variants and COVID levels in other countries. It appears that the lesson learned from the spread of the Alpha, Delta & Omicron variants could very well be that travel restrictions serve next to no purpose. Variants will emerge periodically across the world and they will spread to all countries eventually, no matter what rules are put in place.

The reason I mention this is not to make a political point, but simply to say that, with quiet confidence;

We believe that 2022 will mark the beginning of a sustained and irreversible return to normal travel and tourism in Scotland.
