Fishing package in Scotland with Frontiers International Travel

Fishing package in Scotland with Frontiers International Travel

We are delighted to announce that River & Green has partnered with US-based Frontiers International Travel to launch a 6-night fishing package in Scotland in June 2018.

For several years, we have worked in close cooperation with Frontiers to provide a range of holidays for their US clients. Previous trips have included pheasant and partridge shooting, deer hunting and a wide variety of fishing. This new initiative marks a significant step forward in our working relationship.

This “high-end” fishing trip to Scotland is an adjunct to Frontier’s popular Irish fishing package. On the day of arrival, the clients are met at Edinburgh Airport and carried by chauffeur driven MPV to their exclusive use country house hotel in the heart of Speyside, the home of malt whisky.

After settling in and before dinner, there will be a champagne reception at which the clients will meet with their guides for the next day’s fishing. This is a great opportunity for us all to become better acquainted and discuss tactics and techniques for the days ahead.

The first two days are to be spent fly-fishing for Atlantic salmon on the world famous Gordon Castle beat of the River Spey. Late June is an excellent time to be on this very special part of the river and securing access to the beat at this time is a rare privilege. Here the river offers spectacular fishing in stunningly beautiful surroundings, with easy wading and a comfortable fishing hut where we will enjoy a riverside barbeque for lunch.

Following on from two days of salmon fishing, we head south to Cromlix Hotel; the 5-star hotel owned by Scotland’s tennis ace Andy Murray. Set in beautiful countryside near Stirling, this fabulous hotel is a shining example of the very best in Scottish hospitality. Here we stay for 2 nights, during which period we have a day of guided fishing for rainbow trout and brown trout on Carron Valley loch. The setting of the loch is amazing. It’s as if you were in the heart of the remote Scottish Highlands and yet you are only about an hour from Edinburgh.

The trip is finished off with a day and a night in Edinburgh; Scotland’s historic capital city. Our hotel, the award-winning 5-star Waldorf Astoria Caledonian Hotel is situated at the west end of Princes Street with views onto Edinburgh Castle. From our base in the very centre of the city, our clients will have free time to explore the ancient capital and shop for gifts and mementos of their holiday. This is supplemented with a 2-hour private walking tour of the city, conducted by a “Blue Badge” accredited guide. On our final evening, we enjoy a private dining experience in one of the capital’s best restaurants, where we will raise a glass or two to “next year!”

The entire trip, including all accommodation, transport (excluding flights), meals and guided fishing costs about £4,500 per guest.

We are very proud to partner with Frontiers International Travel. As Frontiers are arguably the world’s finest providers of fishing and hunting vacations, we are honoured to be selected by them to deliver the quality they demand of their suppliers, to the benefit of their loyal clientele.
